International call for PhD candidates for educational research (2008)
Under the Ciência2008 government initiative funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the Research Centre for Didactics and Technology in Teacher Education (CIDTFF), of the University of Aveiro (Portugal), wishes to recruit 3 doctors (PhD), each one for 3 different positions, described in this “Job Description” (refª C2008-UA/CIDTFF/01).
Applications deadline: 30th September, 2008
To apply, please send:(a) presentation letter explicitly stating the position the application refers to – A, B or C, (b) CV with photo, (c) 2 reference letters; and (d) a work plan within the requirements of the job description.
It is also required that candidates have had research experience and at least one publication in a refereed International Journal based on research established and developed after the PhD (published or accepted for publication).
All the documentation must be written in English and all the references in the CV must be complete.
The candidates that fulfil the minimum requirements will be notified by e-mail for an interview.

Under the Ciência 2007 government initiative funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), the Research Centre for Didactics and Technology in Teacher Education (CIDTFF), of the University of Aveiro (Portugal), wishes to recruit 1 doctor (PhD) with, at least, 3 years of post-PhD experience and relevant scientific production in the field of Education, sub-field ICT, described in this Job Description (refª C2007-UA/CIDTFF/1).
Applications deadline: 9th April, 2008

a) presentation letter; b) curriculum vitae with photo; c) 2 reference letters; d) research proposal; e) exposition justifying request to be admitted as a candidate to the position, IF PhD was obtained less than 3 years.

In real life (RL) my name is Teresa Bettencourt. I’m a PhD teacher at University of Aveiro, in the Department of Didactics and Educational Technology (DTE). I’m also the assistent secretary of the Research Centre for Didactics and Technology in Teacher Education (CIDTFF). My research concerns are related to the educational potential of ICT on initial teacher training. I’m quite an old in this field! I started with DOS a long time ago! Now my interests converge to Second Life, as an enriched virtual world and environment that can enhance our actual teaching and learning models!
